Glob

I just wanted to share with all of you something I wrote about a year ago (March 2015). The name of the game (at the time) was called Glob. It looks like a cross between Super Meat Boy and Nihilumbra. I was asked to write something ambient, yet industrial. So after a few attempts, and a few suggestions from my client, I was able to come up with these two tracks.

The first one was written as menu music. I had a lot of fun with it, as it happens to be in an 11/8 time signature. That kept things fresh and kept the music moving forward. And the build leading up to the orchestral section was something I wasn’t sure would work, but it turned out pretty good in my opinion.

The second track was written for the first level. As you’ll notice, both tracks resemble each other. I wanted to make sure the vibe remained the same, while at the same time, be sure to give each track it’s own identity.

I wish I could share with you some of the artwork to the game, but alas, I have yet to receive a response from the client! If I manage to get permission, I will be sure to update this post.
